Vaccines – Children’s Friends

2015

It is an educational fairy tale about the danger posed by infectious diseases and a way to prevent them, i.e. vaccination. The action takes place on a high mountain where a group of the most severe Diseases gathered for the Convention of Infectious Diseases: Pertussis, Measles, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Tuberculosis, Poliomyelitis, Parotitis-Mumps, Hepatitis B, Rubella and others. Their goal was to cause an outbreak of infectious diseases. Implementation of the mischievous plan of the Diseases was prevented by Miss Vaccine, who developed antidotes to all diseases at the laboratory. The Army of Vaccines vaccinated children and protected them from the invasion of the most severe Diseases. All attempts of viruses and bacteria in spreading the hex of their Diseases were futile. The protection created by vaccines was invincible.

Creation of the fairy tale was ordered by Vilnius Territorial Health Insurance Fund. The readers of magazine “Tipu Tapu” are welcome to make their own fairy tale – mini book by taking out the middle page of the magazine, bending and cutting the page and putting the small pages to a mini book.

The fairy tale was illustrated by painter Rūta Savickienė.
